WELCOME!
The information shared on this platform is a reflection of my experience with unexplained infertility for nearly 5 years. But the content is intended for anyone seeking to overcome infertility, whether the cause is unexplained or known. Maybe it’s you have been suffering with unexplained infertility for too long or perhaps you’ve recently visited a fertility clinic only to be left confused and uncertain about what the next steps with unexplained infertility may be. Whether you have just been presented with unexplained infertility or have suffered through recurrent implantation failure, the meaning behind your experience cannot be ignored. Infertility is a message that our bodies send to us when there are greater health issues present and otherwise prevent pregnancy.
For a unique group of women, conventional medicine often falls short in offering a comprehensive treatment approach to uncovering and treating the underlying causes of unexplained infertility. After a pre-defined diagnostic work-up, women are directed to assisted reproductive technologies (ART) such as intrauterine insemination (IUI) or in-vitro fertilization (IVF). And while some women with unexplained infertility are receptive to these treatments and become pregnant, others continue to struggle and fail to conceive – cycle after cycle. These women go on to suffer, often labelled as infertile and generally left behind with no answers, as was I.
Unexplained infertility and recurrent implantation failure are a physical and psychological burden that too many women face in our current society. I can say that I completely understand the grief and misery associated with these conditions because I had endured unexplained infertility for nearly 5 years. I can relate to the frustration of not understanding, of not finding the answers or not becoming pregnant despite being treated by a team of infertility specialists. And I know what it’s like to feel hopeless, forgotten and defeated over and over again.
In searching for answers, you may have found it challenging to uncover information that offers explanations for unexplained infertility. Most published fertility guides only skim over the subject of unexplained infertility and the content offered is typically ambiguous. After suffering recurring IVF or implantation failures, many women with unexplained infertility are told by conventional medicine practitioners that there is little that can be done differently. This is simply untrue. Recent, dedicated research has allowed for a better understanding of the origins among unexplained infertility in women – and those can be directly or indirectly connected to immune system dysfunction. After struggling for nearly 5 years, I was able to uncover the underlying factors for my unexplained infertility and become pregnant naturally. I’m fortunate to share that I delivered a healthy baby without complications. Your path to resolving unexplained infertility doesn’t have to take as long as mine did.
In my book titled, Unexplained Infertility Explained: The Link Between Immune Dysfunction, Digestive Disorders, Hormonal Imbalances and Infertility, I share my journey through the obstacles that I needed to overcome in order to have a baby. Throughout it, I reference key scientific research that showcases the link between immune system dysfunction, digestive disorders, hormonal imbalances and infertility in women. My journey to explain my unexplained infertility uncovered health issues that could have potentially developed into more severe conditions if they had not been addressed. It was the wake-up call that I never knew I needed about my health and overall well-being.
While each individual’s experience is unique, I encourage you to never stop searching for your root causes, and to partner with medical professionals to resolve underlying health issues that are preventing you from becoming pregnant or having a baby. If you may be feeling forgotten or left behind, know that your struggle with unexplained infertility can also conclude with pregnancy and having a baby.
Best,
Dr. Jennifer Grabowski
